A collaborative assignment designing a complete system and kayak design for spinal cord injury users. The final product is a boarding bench that contains a user lift to allow user with either low, moderate or high body capabilities to safely and effectively enter and exit the kayak. The system and product aims to deliver wheelchair users the freedom to participate kayaking. This watercraft activity is generally an impossible task for people with limited physical capabilities.
